Terms & Conditions

Financial Terms

Paw Pal, through its proprietary network of Sitters, arranges for the provision of the Sitter-Provided Services to Parents, including, but not limited to temporary pet boarding, pet daycare and related services in the comfort of the Sitters' / Parents’ private residences. As a Sitter, you may create Listings, and will be asked detailed information about your place and pets (if relevant). You may set the pricing and terms for your services within the parameters permitted by the Site, however Paw Pal does reserve the right to cancel any reservation that does not meet our standards for services or minimum rates, as determined in our sole discretion. In the event that Paw Pal does cancel a reservation for these reasons, the parent will receive a full refund, including any Service Fees. Paw Pal charges a Service Fee of 12.5% to the Sitter to cover the costs of payment processing and Site administration. As a Sitter, you contractually agree that the first and all future bookings with a client from Paw Pal will be booked via the Site or by calling the toll-free number. Failure to abide by this policy may result in suspension from the Site. As a Parent, you may book Sitter-Provided Services through the Site. Paw Pal may charge a Booking Fee (determined at our sole discretion) that will be presented to the Parent during the booking process. All charges, including but not limited to the subtotal and Booking Fee, shall be listed in Indian Rupee (INR). The Parent will be charged for the entire fee at the time of making a reservation request. The Sitter will be given three (3) business days to respond to the booking request or the booking request may be automatically cancelled. If the booking is subsequently cancelled by the booking Parent, the booking Parent will be refunded the entire amount less Paw Pal Booking Fee. In case of reservations that are extended beyond the initially agreed end-date, Parent will need to make the payment to Paw Pal directly. Paw Pal will release the payment (less Service Fee) to the Sitter within two (2) business day, excluding national holidays, after the end of the pet boarding stay. Each Sitter hereby appoints Paw Pal as the Sitter's limited agent solely for the purpose of collecting payments made by Parents on behalf of the Sitter. Each Sitter agrees that payment made by a Parent to Paw Pal shall be considered the same as a payment made directly to the Sitter and the Sitter will make the Sitter-Provided Services available to Parent in the agreed upon manner as if the Sitter has received the applicable fees. In accepting appointment as the limited authorized agent of the Sitter, Paw Pal assumes no liability for any acts or omissions of the Sitter.

Cancellations and Refunds

As a Parent, the cancellation policy applies to you as 100% refund (less Paw Pal’s booking fee) for cancellation done at least 4 days before the schedules drop-off date, and No refund thereafter. Cancellation must be made by 11:59 Indian Standard Time in order to qualify for having occurred on a particular day. Any booking fees charged at the time of reservation are non-refundable. For Daycare reservations, you will be entitled to receive a full refund minus any fees if you cancel 2 days prior to the start of the individual daycare session, and will be refunded 50% thereafter. For example, if the daycare session begins on 7/5, you must call by 11:59pm IST on 7/3 for a full refund. Note, the daycare cancellation policy applies separately to each individual daycare date. In other words, if you have a reservation for daycare on Wednesday and on Friday, you’ll need to cancel both separately (by 11:59pm Monday for Wednesday’s reservation; and by 11:59pm Wednesday for Friday’s reservation).

Cancellations by Sitters are taken seriously. Each Sitter cancellation will be reviewed by Paw Pal to determine if it is subject to an account review. We understand that emergencies happen and will take time to review each cancellation on a case-by-case basis. Sitters are expected to only accept those reservations that they are committed to completing. In the event that a Sitter is no longer able to provide the service, the Sitter must contact customer support immediately.

  • Sitter cancellations within a week of the start of a reservation may result in account review.
  • Sitter cancellations within 3 days of the start date of a reservation will result in immediate account review and/or possible suspension
  • More than two Sitter cancellations within a three month period will result in immediate account review and/or possible suspension
  • Sitter Cancellations after the start of the Sitter-Provided Services that result in the guest dog's removal from the Sitter's home may result in account review and/or possible suspension, except in cases of severe aggression, emergency, etc., as determined at the sole discretion of Paw Pal.

Home pet boarding and other Sitter-Provided Services are not appropriate for all pets, especially aggressive poorly socialized pets. You acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility, as a Parent, to determine if the applicable Sitter-Provided Service is best for your pet and to select the Sitter carefully. While certain Sitters may receive positive assessments or comments by the Site or its users, Paw Pal makes no representations or warranties regarding the quality, security or positive features of the Sitter or the Sitter's residence. Paw Pal is not party to any agreement or transaction between Parent and Sitters and, as such, cannot verify or otherwise authenticate any claims made by the Sitter (including any medical certifications or insurance coverage held by the Sitter). Moreover, it is incumbent upon you to share any and all relevant information, including but not limited to medical issues, allergies or other conditions, about your pet prior to engaging the Sitter for pet boarding or other pet-care related services. As a Parent, you acknowledge and agree that the entire risk arising out of your use of the Site, including listing and booking Sitter-Provided Services, is entirely your own.

Rebookings

Paw Pal expressly reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove a Parent's pet from a Sitter's home should we deem it necessary for the safety of our Sitter, any persons living with the Sitter or the Sitter's or the Parent's pet. In the event we must relocate the booking Parent's pet, Paw Pal shall make reasonable efforts during Paw Pal's normal business hours to contact the Parent and/or the Parent's Emergency Contact to arrange alternative care. Should Paw Pal not be able to contact the Parent or the Parent's Emergency Contact, Paw Pal will use its best judgment to find adequate care until the Parent is able to retrieve its pet. The Parent is responsible for any additional charges incurred as a result of the rebooking.

You expressly release and discharge Releasees from any and all liability, claims, demands or causes of action whatsoever arising out of any damage, loss, personal injury or death to you and/or your children/child/ward, while the pet is boarding in your home or you otherwise provide any Sitter-Provided Services.
